This gentleman came to see Dr Ball having had several FUT/strip surgeries at other clinics. He was concerned by the wide scar, poor graft growth and unnatural-looking hairline from his surgeries performed elsewhere.
The patient has very stretchy skin, therefore prone to developing wide scars. Dr Ball was able to excise his old wide scar and reduce the width from 17mm to 5mm. Dr Ball also performed some punch excisions from the unnaturally low hairline in the frontotemporal angles (corners) and harvested FUE grafts to combine with those obtained from the scar revision making a total of 1611 grafts.
The patient was very pleased with the thicker growth, finer scar, and more natural result.
